    About us

    Welcome to the Busselton Masters Swimming Club Inc. which offers both pool and open water swimming. We provide Fun, Friendship & Fitness through swimming. we cater for persons 18+ living in the Busselton and local SW community.

     

    Busselton Masters Swimming Club was launched on 10 March 2015 with 20 inaugural members.

     

    In 2019 we adopted a Constitution and By-Laws and were incorporated as the Busselton Masters Swimming Club Inc. The Club is affiliated with Masters Swimming Western Australia and Masters Swimming Australia. Swimming under the State and National bodies provides an opportunity to for members to have access to a life-long swimming pathway.

     

    Busselton Masters now has up to 100 members, with swimming sessions at the Geographe Leisure Centre and Busselton Foreshore. Along with social swims that take place at various ocean locations. The Club, also has a strong focus on social activities. Please explore our website and email us if you would like further information.

    1. Complete your profile and add emergency contacts.
    2. Buy a membership with a Busselton Masters Swimming Club Inc.

    Usually Membership is available for

    • 12 Months 1st January to 31st December of each calendar year
    • 6 Months from 1st July to 31st December each year
    • 16 Months from 1st September each year

    New members. Please contact us to organise a maximum of 2 trial swims.

     

    Previous members: Please renew your membership before swimming with us.

     

    Membership includes: Professional Coaching, swimming equipment, Lane hire, club swimming cap, club information pack, entry into MSWA competition events. Members enjoy discounts from local sponsors.

     

    If you have forgotten your username (located on your previous membership receipt) send us an email and we will send it to you.

    Training Times at the Geographe Leisure Centre

    • Monday 8am to 9am
    • Tuesday 7.00pm to 8.00pm
    • Wednesday 2.30pm to 3.30pm
    • Thursday 7.00pm to 8.00pm

    Busselton Foreshore Summer Swim

    • Saturday 8.30am West Street Nets (King Street - Summer School Holidays only )

    Yallingup Lagoon - Social Swim

    • Tuesday 10.30am

    Stroke Clinics are held at various times throughout the year

    Busselton Masters Carnival - Late Winter

    Open Water Swims - the Club competes in many local SW Swims, highlighted by the Busselton Jetty Swim.

    ReStart Swim Programme 2023

    A ‘Refresher’ Swim Programme to build Skill, Fitness, Swim Confidence

     

    ReStart Four Week Swimming Programme

     

    Sunday 12 November – 3 Decemberl 2023 x 4

    SUNDAYS 8.15AM – 9.15AM

    Geographe Leisure Centre OUTDOORS

    Cost of $40

     

    Participants must be able to swim 25m and competent in deep water and be medically fit.

    *Pool entry payable at GLC reception each session*

    Please bring Swimming Fins (if you have a set), Goggles, Water Bottle, Sunscreen

    ReStart is a refresher swim program for adults 18+ who have been out of the water for a period of time and who would like to refresh their swimming skills, ease into a fitness regime and gain swimming confidence.

     

     

    The ReStart program is run by accredited coaches who will help you improve your technique, skill and efficiency in the water.

     

     

    Restart will give participating swimmers the confidence, strength and ability through the four weekly sessions to continue in the lifelong sport and join our swimming community through membership with Busselton Masters Swimming Club.

    • Your profile - how far you have swum, achievements you have received and your most regular routes swum to mention just a few
    • Fellow swimmer’s profile - same info as your own
    • Indian Challenge - see where you and your Busselton Masters buddies are on the virtual swim around Australia - every swim you log collectively adds each day, so every metre counts
    • Bumps - a different visual interpretation on your position on the Indian Challenge
    • 2022 - See where you are on the yearly Indian Challenge - there is a yearly one as well as the perpetual one, so it gives every swimmer a fresh start to lead their buddies around Australia
    • Icons for swim routes - learn other routes, their map and distances
    • Badges - see who achieved a seasonal badge
    • Messages - message any of your fellow swimmers (without revealing your contact details)
